Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Morcease J. Beasley, is proud to present to the Clayton County Community, Clayton Nights – a Black Tie Soiree & Concert featuring the acclaimed symphonic orchestra, Orchestra Noir!
To be held on Saturday, December 1, at the CCPS Performing Arts Center (PAC) – located at 2530 Mt. Zion Parkway in Jonesboro, Clayton Nights is designed to raise funds to increase scholarships and expand support to college bounds CCPS students as they graduate from one student per school to ten students per school!
“Our employees work hard in every school in every day to prepare our students for college and career opportunities,” said Superintendent Beasley. “However, we need your help to ensure that our student’s commitment to academic excellence is rewarded,” he added.
According to their website, Orchestra Noir is The Atlanta African-American Orchestra! Founded in 2016 by Music Director, Jason Ikeem Rodgers, Orchestra Noir acts as a living testament to the African-American legacy of excellence and resilience in Atlanta and the nation. With a mission to showcase and celebrate the musical excellence as well as the business and cultural achievements within the Atlanta community, Orchestra Noir has witnessed a meteoric rise to be one of the most talked about orchestras in the nation as they have collaborated with international hip-hop superstars Migos and 2 Chainz in addition to being featured in countless prominent publications such as Vogue Magazine, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlantan-Modern Luxury, CBS, and many more.
